RIP Jon Taylor 1946 - 2006
I received a sad phone call from Jo Logan a few weeks ago. She informed
me that Jon Taylor, had been killed. She write this so we can remember
him.
Claire Chandler
Jon Cooper Taylor
A keen astrologer, Jon was a committee member of both the AA and the
Lodge.
Indeed, he was closely involved with the latter during the transitional
period when it went through its somewhat difficult metamorphosis from
ALTS to ALL. Jon was associated with Prediction magazine for nearly a
decade, working as Assistant Editor for over eight years then on a freelance
basis, during which time he enlarged his circle of friends in the astrological
world.
Clever yet practical, Jon had an irrepressible sense of humour (including
dreadful Capricornian puns) which enabled him to see the brighter side
of adverse situations and make the most of those opportunities, no matter
how small, that came his way. Ever trusting, he would always seek out
the best in people and would go out of his way to offer emotional suppot
and/or practical help to anyone in need for he had a warm heart and generous
spirit.
Ironically, it was this innate kindness that led to his sudden and premature
death, Hearing a noise from the flat above his, where an elderly woman
lived, Jon went up to investigate and was viciously stabbed to death by
an intruder.
Jon will be missed by all those whose lives he touched, however briefly,
but especially his wide circle of friends, son Tim and sister Ruth.
Born January 11th 1946, 10.56 am GMT, Bolton, Lancs;
Died (offical hospital TOD) June 23rd 2006, 3.15 am BST, Croydon, Surrey
(I assume he was taken to Mayday Hospital).
