Astrology and the Healing Arts 2005
Susie Winkworth BA MMus LRAM DFAstrolS studied cello at the Royal Academy of Music where she was supported by scholarships from the Royal Academy of Music, the Countess of Munster Musical Trust and the Laura Ashley Foundation and was awarded an MMus with Distinction in Research. She has a busy freelance performing career, with recent highlights being concerts at Cheltenham, Deal and Edinburgh Festivals, at Music in the Round in Sheffield, St John1s Smith Square and at St Martin-in-the-Fields in London, and as a soloist with the Philharmonia Orchestra in Elgar1s Introduction and Allegro. She has performed in broadcasts on Channel Four, BBC One and in the recent film biopic "The Life and Death of Peter Sellers". In addition to orchestral work at such venues as the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Purcell Room and Birmingham Symphony Hall, Susie has tutored on the MMus course at the Royal Academy of Music, and she is currently principal cellist of the London Orchestra da Camera and of ensembleflux. Susie was awarded the Gold Medal on graduating with a Diploma from the Faculty of Astrological Studies in 2003, and runs an astrological consultancy in Central London (enquiries@endbegin.com). |
