7:00 Solar Returns with Profections - R. Hakan Kirkoglu, DFAstrolS-ISAR
CAP
The Profections and the Solar Returns, two ancient predictive techniques,
when linked to each other, provide us with comprehensive and detailed
picture of the year ahead. As a time lord system, Profections can be used
yearly, monthly even daily and the yearly Profections of these five fundamental
points, Asc, Mc, the Sun, the Moon and the Fortune along with the current
return give major hints to ground our forecasts firmly. The position of
the year lord deriving from the profected Asc, its natal capacity and
relationship with natal houses can help us to prepare an elaborate plan
of the months ahead. These techniques can also be used in assessing mundane
affairs. Hakan is a leading figure in Astrology in Turkey as a
consultant, teacher and writer. With a Bsc. Management Eng and an MA in
Economics, he became a full-time astrologer in 2000. A prize winner of
FAS (1997), he works with a wide client base and has also been the editor
of Milliyet newspaper. He regularly gives lectures to companies, banks
and organisations, advises to business owners and executives in Turkey.
Established Wisdom of Sky (1999), a 3 year teaching course, and pioneered
an association in Turkey. He has lectured in several conferences and workshops
in USA, UK and Australia since 1999. email or website

7:00 Mystic Moments Nick Kollerstrum
We will here be looking at dates of ‘enlightenment,’ when
mystics recall that they experienced their big moment of realization.
Do the heavens have a special configuration at these times? This will
be a follow-on to the Eureka research Nicki did in the 1990s, which showed
a significant excess of quintile and septile aspects at such times. We
hope we will have one or two of the ‘mystics’ present at this
meeting, so they can tell us what happened (I mean, did they see God?)
– and, we will be able to look at their birth charts as well.
Nick Kollerstrum has produced Britain’s Moon-gardening calendar
yearly since the early 1980s. He might be the only person who has proved
the working of celestial aspects. This was initially done in metal/planet
experiments, as ‘the Kolisko effect’ www.science.anth.org.uk/kolisko/
and then later with his ‘Eureka Effect’ investigation, done
together with Mike O’Neill.

7:00 Unlocking Mercury and the Magic of the Mind - Ana Isabel
We all learn in different ways. Some of us learn visually, others learn
best by doing, while others need to be able to talk things through with
a friend. Schools find it difficult to cater for different learning styles
and so many of us develop the belief that we are poor learners or not
very academic. In general people also tend to associate intelligence with
good communication skills, yet many of us feel that we are poor communicators.
In most cases we are more capable than we realise but have been left with
a poor self image as a result of difficult school days. In this talk,
Ana Isabel explores how Mercury in the birth chart provides clues as to
how we learn and communicate best. Understanding Mercury’s place
in the birth chart, helps us find our strengths in terms of our intelligence,
and how to develop the confidence to become better. Mercury shows us how
truly magical our minds can be.
