Lodge Lecture

It was a treat this evening to welcome Kate Czerny from the Astrological Association into our Lodge. It was also a pleasure to have a talk on pure traditional astrology based on Hellenistic Astrology using the Thema Mundi, the mythical birth chart of the beginning of our world. It is a vast subject and it was very hard for Kate to go through everything in one hour but it was a good introduction. This system is based on the Astrology of Egypt which was started after the conquest of Alexander the great. It was in fact the foundation of all Western Astrology and emerged around the 2nd century BC in the Nile delta. It spread through the Roman Empire where a long list of people wrote texts including Ptolemy and then up to modern day with the likes of Rob Hand and Robert Zoller. The system is very similar to Vedic Astrology with its whole sign house system, its good and bad places, angular houses, cadent etc.

The good new is that Kate will be giving a series of classes in the summer.

Class

This was the last in the series of classes on the American Election with Claire Chandler.
