Lodge Lecture

Tonight's Lecture was given by the very experienced Babs Kirby. Her talk entitled The Enigma of the Twelfth house. The general way of looking at the twelfth house would be as the house of ones own undoing, but Babs looked at it tonight with people who had their Sun in the 12 house and how it created in them a feeling of being overlooked. How although they had a high profile they felt overlooked and unacknowledged. They almost craved fame and complained of loss of anonymity. She looked at the charts of George Michael, Madonna and Steffi Graff. Her main focus was on two very different people,the artist Tracy emin and the writer, Daphne du Maurier, both of who had 12th house Suns. Tracey's data is 3rd July 1963 06.50 Thornton Heath and she looked at the progressions around the time of the Turner Prize. Daphne Du Maurier's data 12th May 1907, Hampstead, London 05:20 . She looked extensively at her life.

She finished the talk by also mentioning that George Bush, Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and Putin all had twelfth house Suns and how this proved how all of them were hiding wanted to be noticed, not wanting to be noticed. The final surprise for her was that Tracy emin was in the audience!

Charts Discussion

Les showed everyone a series of mundane horoscopes for English Towns and Cities with the question 'Do you think they have been elected?' They all had Mars/Sun/Jupiter aspects.

The second session was devoted to a personal horoscope and the final question was put to Les by a member who has a company selling space miles, but he was unable to look at this as space travel is not up and running yet.
