Lodge Lecture
It was
great to welcome an old friend to the Lodge this evening. Mike
Edwards opened the term in fine style with a requested talk on
Planetary Periods. These are used all the time in Indian Astrology but
would appear to be very different from Western Astrology where it is hardly
used at all. However it all seems to make sense, in Mike's case particulars,
as he worked out he is in his Jupiter period and life is expanding all
the time. His work is taking him all over the world and he is in great
demand. The periods are:
Moon - Growth - period 4 yrs - Ages 1 - 4 representing
- Baby
Mercury - Education - 10 yrs - Ages 5 - 14 - Scholar
Venus - Emotion - 8 years - Ages 15-22 - Lover
Sun - Virility - 19 years - Ages 23-42 - Citizen
Mars - Ambition - 15 years - Ages 43-57 - Soldier
Jupiter - Reflection - 12 yrs - Ages 58-69 - Judge
Saturn - resignation - 30 years - Ages 70 - 99 - Slippers
Obviously you have to check the condition of these planets in the Nativity
and their promise, also the power and debility. Saturn and Venus are not
good in the early years. He demonstrated how to turn the chart to red
it from each planets perspective on the ascendant. Great stuff. Than you
Mike.
