Lodge Lecture

This week's lecture saw a return of one our regular members, Mavis Klein. She relayed the last chapter of her book on ..'the Psychology and Astrology of Human Relationships'.

From the ages of 5/6 Jupiter square Jupiter and Saturn sextile Saturn which combines the exhuberance of Jupiter and the self-disapline of Saturn creating a mini Adult. At seven they experience their first identity crisis with Saturn square Saturn and experience depression through maybe experiencing death until they reach 10 and can feel the Saturn trine Saturn and all things are not that bad after all and at 12 yrs old they have their first Jupiter return. Of course there is the infamous Saturn return, which we all know about, at 29/30.

Mavis went on to describe all the other planetary aspects that affect our lives right to the end.

Class

The second class of the series by Sue Tompkins focused on the hard aspects, those which she said only really meant anything in a chart because the square and the oppositions measured the challenges in the life. She referred to them as the hard centres of the box of chocolates.

Charts Discussion

This week we just had to look at the chart of Britney Spears. We saw that Pluto has been for sometime transiting her Neptune, symbolising her growing addiction. Jupiter has also been connecting with her Sun in Sagittarius, showing the excess in her life at present. Venus opposing her Mars in Virgo, described the hair cutting incident. The chart details were taken from Astrodatabank

We then looked at some personal charts and at the end looked at the chart of a man who called himself 'It', and looked at this strong chart which showed the terrible abuse he suffered in childhood.
