Lodge Lecture | Class | Charts Discussion Lodge LectureIt was a great pleasure to welcome back Helene Haw to the Lodge after a long absence. Her obvious passion and fascination for the work of film maker Steven Speilberg was demonstrated in great detail. (His birth data is 18:16 - 18th December 1946, Cincinnati, Ohio). His human quality his inner landscape projects onto his films and he reaches the stature of myth making. The chart is a bowl shape which lies below the horizon. His Sun in Sag makes him very prolific and versatile. It also give him a 'Peter Pan' quality in his films - and adventure. (E.T.) Sun in Sag also has vision and will not give up. Hence his huge variety of subjects in his films. (The Colour Purple, Jurassic Park, Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Dual, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, An American Tail, Back to the Future, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Mask of Zorro, Men in Black,The Haunting, Shrek, Saving Private Ryan, Empire of the Sun to name just some of them) His personal planets aspect the outer planets and his Sun and Moon are in adjacent houses which makes them difficult to reconcile with each other. Most of his planets are the 5th and 6th houses of creativity and work. Also showing him to be a tough negotiator, Jupiter conjunct Venus in the fifth house gave him the golden touch. Saturn conjunct Pluto in the second house trine Jupiter shows a unrelenting focus and power. One interesting angle is the 6th house Sun in opposition to Uranus in the 12th. His father was a pioneer in computers. His own interest in science fiction and special effects started from a very early age and he was considered an oddball. The family moved around a great deal . Although Jewish he did not want to belong to the 'faith' and only came to realise what it was all about when he made 'Shindlers List', which took 11 years to make. The only thing he has in earth is his Mars in Cap, conjunct the Sun indicating that he created a team spirit with his staff. This was a fabulous insight into a man who had a deep seated desire to belong somewhere. ClassSue Farebrother not only teaches astrology. Her other passion is Tarot. Her knowledge is abounding and tonight in the first of two taster classes she took us for a very quick tour around the Major Arcana cards as well as introducing us to the background and history of the Tarot cards. The class proved to be very popular and next week she will take us through the minor Arcana cards. Too little time but very informative. Carole WestCharts Discussionto follow |
