On the eve of St Valentine's day this week's lecture looked at the love, passion and tragedy of Dante Gabriel Rossetti and his circle. By his chart it was obvious his relationships were obsessional, He painted beautifully and his first subject was Elizabeth Siddell. She was a beautiful flame haired woman from the 'wrong side of the tracks' and although they lived together he did not marry her until a few years before her death of drug abuse. She was the original super model. He then turned his desires towards the wife of a very close friend, William Morris. The three of them shared a house and when William Morris went travelling his wife Jane Burden Morris became Rosetti's lover. Content with this arrangement whilst he was traveling, William eventually returned home and turned Rosetti out of his house.

Christine showed the charts of all three characters in this tragedy and some of the most famous paintings created by this talented man who also died early.

Charts Discussion

This week Charts discussion followed on the theme of love - with a difference. The first charts were of Johnny Cash ( 26th February 1932, 0:7:30, Kingsland, Arizona) and his wife Jane Carter ( 23rd January 1929, Mace West Virginia - no time).

The next was a chart of one of the committee and his cat. The effect they have had on each other's lives was fascinating.

Then we looked at the charts of Witney Houston and Bobby Brown who appear to be finally divorcing.

Finally we looked at the original idol, Rudolph Valentino. His mother idolised him out of all her children and that ideology followed him out into the world, even more so after his death.
