Lodge Lecture

Our own eureka moment was ushered in by Nick Kollerstrom who spoke to us tonight about Einstein and his discoveries. It will be 100 years ago on 30 June since his seminal paper was published but Nick explain that the whole of the year of 1905 was full of moments of insight, clarity of thought and paradigm breakthrough.

Eureka moments tend to have a higher than average amount of quintiles and septiles than normal and Nick associates these aspects with calling something forth, which is fitting as a full aspect pattern will give us the five and seven pointed star. Nick's earlier publication, with Mick O'Neal, The Eureka Effect concentrated on these breakthrough moments and in his subsequent work he has followed Einstein specifically.

Not only did 1905 give us the Uranus/Neptune opposition bringing a note of strangeness which we now associate with early 20th Century art and artists such as Picasso, Braque and the Cubists and atonal classical music but it brought crucial cyclical phases in Einstein's personal story. Neptune sextile Neptune, Uranus trine Uranus, Jupiter square Jupiter and Progressed Moon opposite moon. These are key phases in an individual's development and when they are locked into a larger cycle great things happen.

Claire Chandler

Class

Today was the first of two talks on Synastry given to us by our Beginners' Class tutor, Helene Schnitzer Helene explained how one cannot just look at the charts of a couple and expect to look at the usual highlights such as, her Venus is on his Moon, and expect to come up with a winning formula for a relationship. She took us through several examples of charts showing how to look for how the querent would be inviting people into their lives and how they would behaving around them. For instance, there will be something in the chart that will create the person drawing a certain type of person into their lives who would allow them to suffer in a relationship, or always cause it to break down. In the particular example she showed she pointed out how the patterns would be repeated time and time again relationship after relationship. It was very interesting to note that a single person was responsible for their own breakdowns. So we now all need to go away and look at our own charts before we blame anyone else!

Part two next week.

Charts Discussion

Election Special

We looked at every conceivable chart that had anything to do with the Election, today. Tony and Cherie Blair. Gordon Brown, Charles Kennedy, Michael Howard and the election day and the UK chart 1801. We looked at the chart of the Conservative Party, to see if any changes within the Party could be seen. My special thanks to our President Claire Chandler for providing all the charts.

We noted that a transit which had been pointed out as a time of concern, Saturn transiting the UK Jupiter, has not yet happened and the timing of this coincides with the UK presidency of the EU highlighting an area where a fall from grace may occur.
