Lodge Lecture | Class | Charts Discussion

Lodge Lecture

Tonight was a significant time to have a talk on the Magical Power of 7. It was the birthday of our Vice President, Gill Dorren.

The lecture was given by a member of our Committee, Andrew Morton. Andrew proceeded to spell out the use of the number seven from within all religions of the world, including seven days of the week given by God. He showed beautiful slides of the colours of the rainbow. He included films with the number seven in the title, books, nursery rhymes, children's stories and more.

Then he focused on the constellation of Taurus and the seven planets called the Pliedies, also know as the weeping sisters, just above Taurus, three of which have now slipped into Gemini. There is also a network of observatories called the Merlin Network, also seven.

The Egyptian ceremony of filling an emptied body through the seven orifices of the head with packing soaked with seven oils followed together with the seven ages of man. Then the cosmic mystery cult of Mithras, just before Christianity. And Pope Gregory the first who gave the world the 7 deadly sins, the 7 corporal works of Mercy, the 7 virtues etc.

This led to looking at the seven planets Mercury, Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn and the singularity of the cycles.

The lecture was great and contained so much information of how the number seven occurs time and time again in so many areas of our lives. Thank you Andrew. We look forward to the next one.

Class

So this was the final week of our look at the possible outcome of our general election with Peta High. Michael Howard and the Tory party took centre stage this week. Unfortunately nobody appears to know the birth time of the Mr Howard, so this task was very difficult.

'After studying Transits, Progression, Solar Arc Directions, Eclipses and Solar Returns for both the Party Leaders and the Labour, Conservative and Liberal Democrat Parties the Lodge Class agreed that another Labour win was likely at the May election. But with a much reduced majority.

In taking apart and evaluating the various and (as usual with predictive work) sometimes conflicting messages which astrological forecasting offers the best plan was to give plus and minus points to the three Leaders and the three Parties and see which had the most positive total. The whole of 2005 was considered and not simply the likely election month of May. This was because on the one hand there was no confirmation that May would be the time and also that the results of the election (at whatever date it took place) would be felt ongoing over the rest of the year.

Both Charles Kennedy personally and the Liberal Democrat Party appear easily ahead on the plus factor. Kennedy has Venus sa conj his Sun and Jupiter tr conj his Venus, two very strong indicators of success. While Pluto tr sq his Moon would appear to be about big changes in his routines and feelings , offering a more powerful position in relation to the government (although he is also about to become a father). Uranus tr is sq his Sun and Jupiter again indicating changes, which given that he is not in a powerful position at present offers the possibility that this will change. The April 4 Eclipse is conj his Asc p and is about "passion" (ref Bernadette Brady) which suggests he goes into the election period with lots of active energy. His Solar Return Sun is conj Venus (linking with Venus sa conj Sun and Jupiter tr conj Venus) and trine Saturn which looks like success and positive responsibility.

The Liberal Democrat Party have Jupiter tr conj the Moon which looks like success with the public/voter and Uranus tr conj the IC which looks like some major change at root level. The October 17 Eclipse is also opp their Moon and is about "power" (ref Bernadette Brady), which seems to link with Kennedy's Pluto tr sq Moon. The Solar Return has the Sun sq Uranus and trine Saturn for change and positive responsibility.

Neither Tony Blair and the Labour Party or Michael Howard and the Conservative Party have anything like as positive energy. Blair's most positive influence is Venus sa conj his Asc, but Saturn tr conj IC might suggest a change of residence or at least some difficulties around the home and Chiron tr conj the Mc, which certainly does not look very hopeful for public success. The April 17 Eclipse is opp his Saturn-Neptune and being about passion could refer to some strong feelings around loss and disappointment. His Solar Return has Sun sq Neptune, which although Neptune is the planet of Socialism still looks like some sort of insecurity about his position. The Labour Party has Jupiter tr opp Venus, which looks like success. But Pluto tr conj the MCp and Uranus tr conj their Sun-Mc looks like some sort of big change in status. So maybe a smaller success than expected?

Michael Howard has no birth time available so it is difficult to predict with any accuracy for him. We can see he has a big Jupiter influence with Jupiter tr sq Chiron, Pluto and Venus and trine Mars, which looks positive.. The April Eclipse is on his Venus/Pluto midpoint, which seems to indicate, with an Eclipse about "passion" on a very passionate midpoint, to say the least very strong feelings of some sort or another.
The Conservative Party has Saturn p on their Mercury/Mars midpoint which COSI gives as "the tendency to say bad things" which seems very appropriate for any party politics in any election time! Also Uranus tr is sq Mercury which looks like having some surprising information. Mcp is conj their Neptune and given that Neptune is the planet of Socialism this does not look too good fro them, as well as showing some loss of direction. This is reflected in their Solar Return with Neptune conj the Mc. Although the Solar Return Mc ruler, Uranus, is in the 10th. House and trine the Moon and Mars in the 5th. House of elections looking much more positive.

The final analysis seems to be that while the Liberal Democrats look best placed this year common sense says that they are not going to actually win an election so they will probably do extremely well and may well either beat the Conservative Party to second place or come very close. While Labour just manage to keep ahead. So disappointing for Labour, very gratifying for the Liberals and leaving the Conservatives with an identity crisis.'

We also looked at the transits and progressions and aspects for all three major parties. What did seem to come out on top was that Charles Kennedy would seem to be inspiring his party into believing that they would be the second party of choice and that things really looked as though this may be possible.

Indications looked as though Mr Blair is due for a move from his home, though not necessarily in May.

What we want to see is the chart of the day of the election, which of course is yet to be announced. Then we can really go to town.

Charts Discussion

It was a celebration tonight - as it was my birthday. So we looked at my Solar Return which took place at 21.41, 5th February in London. A very positive year was forecast with Jupiter in Trine with my Sun, lots of planets in the 4th house indicated home issues too and me having to confront certain issues in my life. I look forward to it and if anyone else would like to predict, fire away, no problem.!!

We looked at the chart of the first BBC broadcast and the chart of Israel which is also the chart of Palestine (as when Israel was created, the present Palestine was created). A prediction was made, that between October this year and May next year, they would be at war. It is not a good chart for a country, and the presenter looked forward to change with these countries as there would then be a new chart. OK, next day Israel
and Palestine shook hands across the table - we can only see what will happen next.

We then looked at the chart of Bob Marley who would have been 60 on the 6th February 2005 if he had lived. Sagittarius rising showed a larger than life character, and with Jupiter on his Midheaven showed his religious fervour plus his mega career. Mercury in trine with Neptune shows his ability to write music and have a career with it with Neptune in the 10th house.

We finished with the chart of my sister who has asked my advice about her life.
We noted the powerful aspects to her chart with Neptune kicking off her Mars/Jupiter/Venus Pluto T square and creating a grand cross in the fixed signs.
Predictions were given, noted and will be passed on.

Look forward to seeing you next week where no doubt we will be discussing the forthcoming nuptials of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles and the decision to have the ceremony on the day of a Solar Eclipse!
