Lodge Lecture

Andy Gray gave a very enlightening lecture on four of the asteroids, Ceres, Vesta, Juno and Pallas Athena and their effect as a feminine energy. He explored the symbolism of Ceres as the mother/nurturer, Juno as the maiden/relationships, Pallas Athena as the daughter/achievement and Vesta as the sister/social role. As the lecture progressed he created the mandala of the Zodiac. He explored these as seen in a natal chart and mentioned examples. He also looked at them as a whole, as archetypes seen in the chart. He stated that these could finely tune and enhance a natal reading. It was a very interesting lecture and one that made you wish to explore these in one's own astrology.

Class

This was the first of a series of four classes on the art of Horary Astrology given by Richard Swatton. This class was devoted to the introduction of Horary Language. So we started to learn about 'Perfection', 'The Significators' 'The Querent' (The Ascendant and the Ascendant ruler.) Then he put up a chart posing a question when a friend had put a post card somewhere for safe keeping, then could not remember where is was. The chart so aptly described the situation, and the result. Next week one of us will pose a question.
