We commenced the first night of the Autumn Term in fine style with a great talk by Jane Struthers, tutor from the London School of Astrology. She has been fascinated by the Rolling Stones from her childhood and she chose to look at the synastry between the main members. The group have been together for 43 years, so checking the charts should have shown that there were lasting relationship indications.

Mick Jagger - born 26th July 1943, Dartford, Engl. 2:30 am. His chart showed a stellium in Leo in the foundation of the chart over the third and fourth houses. A true showman, however with his Moon in the 12th house in Taurus trine Neptune, there is also a sensitive private person who needs emotional security. There is no water in the chart. With Jupiter ruling the 7th it indicated marrying the childhood sweetheart. This appeared in the form of the chart of Keith Richard.

Keith Richard was born 18th December 1943, 6:00 am Dartford, England. With Scorpio rising, Moon conjunct MC in Virgo, and the Sun opposing Saturn, part of him is very shy. He said he liked to scare people before they scared him!He is a perfectionist and loved by the public. Other features in the chart show that he is a great rebel and a great music writer. Playing music makes him happy and he wants freedom in his relationships.

We looked at the chart of Charlie Watts. 2nd June 1941, Islington, London - no time available. It is because of him that the band have stayed together. Some time ago he is quoted as saying they spent 5 years playing and 20 years hanging around. He chart showed he was a great drummer and adored his family.

Ronnie Wood , 1st February 1947, Hillingdon Middx. Again no time. He has Venus conjunct Uranus (the attention span of a nat). He joined the Stones in 1975, is a natural musician and is now into racehorses. He is also a prolific artist.

The composite chart of Mick and Keith really summed everything up about their relationship.

Charts Discussion

With the documentary by Martin Scorsese being shown on TV that night it was obvious that we should look at the chart of Bob Dylan. , songwriter and singer of the sixties. (24th May 1941, 21:05 CST, Duluth, Min).

We then went on to discuss the Hurricane, Caterina, that hit New Orleans on the 29th August 2005 .
