Lodge Lecture

Judith Levy is the Chief Executive Officer of high street menswear retail company High and Mighty International , a family business started by her father in 1958. She has been an astrologer since she started her studies in Spain in 1984. In the early 1990s she met Christeen Skinner at a seminar in Oxford and began to realise the benefit of using astrology in her business. Since then they have worked together on a large range of projects and on a day-to-day basis.

She started her talk by going through the seven points of Business Structure:

1. People
2. Finance/Strategy
3. Marketing/Selling
4. Buying/Manufacturing
5. Admin
6. Start-Ups/Product Launches
7. Forecasting is essential

She then went on to look at Business Methodology in relation to people with the various tests available on the market. Having established the category one of her staff fell into we then looked at this person from the point of view of his chart. The Astrology worked far better than the complicated tests in the market place!

So the Astrological Methodologies were:

1. Team and Company Synastry
2. Mundane Cycles
3. Company Charts
4. Transists/Progression/Returns
5. Astro-Carto-Graphy
6. Electional Astrology
7.Sabian Symbols
8. Lunar Transists/Phases (best)
9. Horary

We looked at the planets at work, The Sun for the head of the Company, mission, the soul. The Moon representing the public etc. The we looked at two case studies, that of Marks and Spencer incorporated as a plc on 17the June 1926, London, midnight and the Body Shop, incorporated on 1st November 1976, London.

Having been in business in the past I left the talk wishing that I had the advantage of having a business astrologer on my team. Unfortunately I did not come to Astrology until I had left the City. What a pity!
