Lodge Lecture | Members' Classes | Charts Discussion Lodge LectureWe were delighted to welcome Dr Kelley Hunter from the US this evening. Her talk was on Black Moon Lilith and the Cosmic Feminine. She went on the explain what the Black Moon was. Astronomically it is the second centre of the Moon's elliptical orbit around the earth. The earth is one orbit, Black Moon Lilith is the other. The Black Moon point is where we are lured into the mystery of life. It is a corridor into the heart through which we are lured to discover our deepest truth, the longings and yearnings of our soul. Dr Kelley then went on to explain about Lilith, the triple Goddess. Asteroid Lilith, no. 1181, the most solid bodied Lilith, orbits with most of the other asteroids between Mars and Jupiter. Orbits the zodiac in four years plus two to four months. Dark Moon Lilith, the second Moon circling the earth, reflects no light, reported as far back as 1618. It has been given an orbit of 119 days, about 10 days per sign. The Lilith Star - Algol - in the constellation of Perseus has a reputation of being the most evil star in the sky. Most often envisioned as the head or paralysing eye of Medusa. She also explained the myths and different names in each culture and then the Psycho-spiritual nature of Lilith. She has produced a booklet which goes into all of her talk in detail as well as giving a run through of Lilith through the signs and an ephemeris. An interesting talk on a dark subject, one of the hidden meaning within our charts. Carole WestMembers' Classesto follow Charts DiscussionCharts discussion this week took in mostly personal ones brought in by ourselves. It has been a year of highs and lows, testing everyone's emotions, so we looked at our Solar return charts. Carole West |
