At the Lodge - 13th December 2004 |
||||
Lodge LectureSo this was it. The last lecture in a very long term. Once again it was our pleasure to welcome Bernard Eccles, who had already given us three great weeks of Classes and who always enjoys coming back to the Lodge to give his predictions for the year ahead. His methods are simple. First of all see what the big planets are doing. Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are staying where they are. Of course there will be times when they are involved in aspects, but they are staying put. The faster it happens the more trivial. Saturn moves from Cardinal sign to Fixed sign. It enters Leo on the 16th of July. Up until then it is in Cancer. In Cancer, natural ruler of the fourth house of home, and Saturn's detriment, it has created lack of security, no giant empires, at home, rising crime etc. So in Leo it is going to regain some of it's strength. The Sun and Saturn will be working together in true form. Jupiter will remain in Libra until October 26th affecting Cardinal signs. There are five outer planet inter aspects from Jupiter. Mars stays steady in the early months and slows down to retrograde between August and December. It will be five months in Taurus, in detriment. Venus will be moving very fast until November. Mercury will be retrograde in Fire signs this year. Then there are Eclipses which this year will see one Solar eclipse on 8th April, one Lunar, 24th April (very weak - so we bypass any effect), a Solar Annular on the 3rd October and a Lunar Partial, again weak. Then Bernard took the Chart of the UK and used profection (where we move the chart around). Every 12 years it comes back to it's original position and so the chart we considered was the original chart. The general consensus was that It looked good for Royalty. Our own money was going down the drain, Mars was in the 8th, so the banks would tighten up. Venus in the 5th house. Was there going to be a baby boom. And was there going to be the end of the Government or a leader? Finally we looked at the year ahead and decided we would be in for some good weather! Jupiter in the first offered a lot of promise, Neptune on the 5th cusp promised a summer of love. The lights were trining each other. Pop culture, again Uranus is in Pisces so expect North African, Morocco etc. - tassel rugs and stain glass. A resurgence in drug culture. However the new growth area is the family. Family values and family tree archives. For fashion colours check Jupiter for bright colours - in Scorpio - bring on the red and black. The flavour of the year will be firmness - Saturn in Leo. See you all next term Carole West |
