Lodge Lecture

Sue Rose came to the Lodge tonight, with her partner, Tony Jackson, to share their past two years of pain around stomach cancer and how, having used Gershon therapy, homeopathy and conventional medicine in the terms of an operation, all treatments were a success and thus he was here to tell the tale.

For both of them it was about Pluto transits over the sun and over the ascendant. Sue took us through the journey explaining all the way the symptoms and the astrology from transits to progressions. Also the doctor who took him through his food regime of juices, fasting and supplements whose synastry was perfect.

It culminated after the operation with a solar eclipse - and then all swelling and pain disappeared.

The astrology was perfect and it was courageous of them to go through the obvious pressing of buttons when they had been through a period of recovery.

Thank you both.

Members' Classes

This was the first of two classes with the excellent Mariella Cassar. She explained how she uses astrology in her work as a counsellor and so first of all will look at Lunar returns.

How the natal moon is placed and its dispositor indicates how a person expresses themselves in their emotional life. If the aspects on the lunar return are the same as in the birth chart then the person is going to be working with the issues they have to learn in life.

Check if the moon is angular, which house position are the emotions tied in with. (Asc = need) (M/C = Aim) Inconjunct signs (2/12 - 6/8 to Asc) will create discomfort. For emotional integration look at the degree of the sun. Also check void of course.

Charts Discussion

We began this week with a review of the chart of David Kelly, as we will soon hear the decision of The Hutton Enquiry. Santiago Mantas showed his chart which, unfortunately, is not timed, however he did the transits of the moment his body was found. Mercury was transiting his Pluto which indicates profound news and his natal Pluto is in conjunction with Mars and the North Node. This man is famous for his death. The transiting Ascendant conjoins his Chiron - the open wound all very apt.

Claire Chandler our President then presented a 'Guess who this is with the astrology data' chart, which we always find as fun in chart discussions. The astrological data is 23 April 1775, 1.10 LMT London, so who is it? You can reply through my website address.

Finally we did the chart of Rod Stewart, who has just released a new album.

Pluto on the MC - truly famous career. Moon in Scorpio- a man who emotionally needs to be in control and can be quite manipulative. Venus (which rules the chart with Libra rising) exalted in Pisces - says it all about the love life. It trines Saturn which is in Cancer showing a need for security and as Saturn rules the 4th house and is situated in the 9th house indicates success and living abroad.

Next week 10th November - we will be looking at the 6 pointed star configuration which formed over the weekend and see what comes with this and the full moon eclipse - exciting times ahead methinks
