We were very privileged to welcome Dorian Geisler Greenbaum from the United States this week. Her brief was to show how planets and signs aligned throughout the generations. She achieved this with perfection. She chose her own family genogram. Her forbears, she discovered, came from London. The Patriarch 'serious and staid' and 'dreadfully pious', the Matriarch was the 'little Welsh woman'. The next generation brought forth a son who was not like all the others. He had Sun and Mercury in Pisces and so stared the line of artistic flare. He was artistic and wrote poetry. He married a lady who had a stelium in Capricorn. She was the business woman and so his work flourished and they did well. Their children were brought up to be 'consciously very respectable - unconsciously rather humorous.' The eldest daughter, Maria, was 'vivacious, hopeful, sensible and kind'. All three of her daughters were talented at reciting their grandfather's poetry, so grandmother worked her Capricorn magic on them too and they started actively performing. By now the sign of Leo was featuring in many of the charts. Also a conjunction of Moon/Pluto. One of the girls acted as 'Little Lord Fauntleroy' all over the land. Josephine was Dorian's great-grandmother and was an active suffragist. One of the other girls, Peggy, wrote 'awful' Victorian novels. Then one day she decided to write a play based on the novel of Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. It was produced by the man who was producing Dracula. It was so successful that it was made into the first film starring Boris Karloff. Throughout the generations the sign of Leo came top, followed by Taurus and Capricorn. The element of Air hardly featured in the family at all. It was the most fascinating insight into a family and how certain patterns come through. The statistics were interesting too. You can see Dorian's full report on her website Carole West |
