Lodge Lecture | Charts Discussion

Lodge Lecture

Today Jean Elliott gave a brilliant talk on the Roswell crash which was timed at 11.30 pm on 4th July 1947, Roswell, New Mexico. It was a fascinating subject and certainly something different for the Lodge. She acknowledged that the source of her information came from the encyclopaedia of Alien Encounters, Alan Baker, 1999. She put up the chart for the day and provided some intriguing information. Planes were spotted on the radar screens on the 1st July and a pilot also saw them late June, suggesting that they had been hovering around for a while before the crash. At the time there was a thunder storm going on. Several locals were involved in finding wreckage and delivering it to the sheriff, as well as the local Funeral Director who located ' bodies'. However the military appeared to get there first and everyone was silenced.

She then showed the chart of the 'Majestic 12 Document' which was a secret Government organisation set up to handle the public with regards to the Roswell incident. The chart was time for 7.30 am 11th December 1984, Los Angeles. In this document was information about 4 dead aliens and wreckage sent to four different sites.

Jean went on to show other really interesting chart of incidents and mysteries of the 1930s and 40s along with more recent ones.

Jean Elliot is one of the tutors of the Astrology College and information can be found on their website

Charts Discussion

Firstly we looked at the chart of Michael Jackson - His massive appeal and fame easily seen by Sun conjunct Pluto - Jupiter conjunct Neptune - Pluto and Neptune being the heavy weights for the masses and fame (and of course Jupiter, the grand fortune). The Pluto conjunct Sun in the fourth house also indicates an intense home life. Chiron on the Midheaven indicates his career being anything but comfortable but confronting and painful. Moon in Pisces shows his sensitivity and his artistic nature, again in the 10th again assuring popularity with people. At the time of his arrest Mercury was transiting his Saturn in the 7th house and Pluto is now transiting his Saturn. It was such an interesting chart - no doubt we will look at it again.

But then some jollity. The event chart of the Rugby World Cup final. Taking traditional horary rules for a competition chart - Venus ruled the Aussies and Mars ruled the Pommies. Venus is in the 7th - The Aussies are in the house of the Pommies giving them the victory - simple, however as it was stated Uranus, is on the midpoint of the ascendant / descendant indicating an exciting match and evenly balanced. We compared the chart with the United Kingdom 1801 chart - easy a Mercury return.

Then we looked at a chart of an Earthquake which took place in the Cascade mountains of North California on 26th January 1700. It was 9 on the Richter scale which is unheard of and the tsunamis created by it, reached Japan!!! - Well there was a grand trine in water involving Mars, Saturn and Uranus - enough said really. Scientists had discovered this earthquake on finding documents written at the time in Japan which was so appropriate with Jupiter (exploration, discovery) conjunct mercury (documents) in Capricorn (age as ruled by Saturn)

It was a brilliant charts discussion and a great end to the Term in this area and as I stated if anyone would like me to do a chart for Charts discussion in the New Year (is it 2004 already?!!!) then please contact me through the website and I will gladly get an chart acetate for you, just email me with the details with a small blurb about the chart. Happy Christmas
