Lodge Lecture | AGM

Lodge Lecture

Claire Chandler pulled a rabbit out of the hat in the form of an excellent lecture in order to stand in for Christeen Skinner who was struck down with a bad dose of flu on only 24 hours notice.

Her talk was on the Capacity for Relationship in the Chart. She commenced by saying that if it is not in the chart it is not going to happen. If we look at the condition of the Moon in the chart this will indicate what kind of relationship we had with our mother, which is after all, the first relationship (or not) that you have in your life.

Look for condition of Moon. The Lunar phase is also important. New moon people are often difficult to get to know. Full Moon people are gregarious. Check what rules the house the Moon is in. If it is Saturn, there are fears and boundaries in the personal life. Look at which house the Moon rules.

Then we should check the Asc/Dec axis. Look at Venus in the chart Venus is our values. Whatever we love, we value - money etc. Then there is Taurus/Scorpio rulers of the second/eighth house (Taurus echo) How much do you think of yourself?

The she put up the charts of Barbara Hutton (14th November 1912, 14:25, New York), the Woolworth's Heiress, Xaviera Hollander (15 April 1943, 04:00, Surabaya, Java), who became a Madame, was convicted in the US and finished up writing about it, Jean Harlow (3rd March 1911, 19:40 Kansas City, MO - the movie star, and finally Howard Hughes (24 December 1905, 22:12, Houston Texas.

Annual General Meeting

Our AGM was attended by a full house of members and our Committee. Apart from reports from the elected Officers and those of us on the Committee with special jobs to do - we were very sorry to loose our valued Vice President, Lois Blake, after seventeen years of service. We were also very sorry to loose Gwen Eastwood, who has, amongst other things, worked so hard with the Lodge bookstall.

We were delighted to appoint Gill Dorren as our new Vice President. Gill has also been with Lodge for 15 years, so she will be more than capable of filling Lois's shoes.
