At the Lodge - 15th December 2003

So here we were. The last day of a very successful and enjoyable term at the Lodge.

We were very happy that one of our ex presidents, Bernard Eccles, was able to come and give his usual end of year predictions for the year ahead. It would seem that we are in for a stable year with the outer planets not moving signs. Jupiter will remain in detriment in Virgo till September. Mars will remain steady, moving forward all year. In fact it will be rising at the same time as the sun for most of the year so the days will start with a martian feel. (So depending who you are, you may wake up energised or just plain grumpy). Venus will retrograde in Gemini mid year and will stay in Gemini for four months.

There is a very interesting quintile formation occurring on the 28 October 2004 at 19:30 bringing together the Moon, Saturn, Jupiter, Pluto and Uranus. So check that one out.

After looking at our Prime Minister's fate for the year and that of George W Bush, Bernard went on to look at fashion. With Uranus in Pisces it looks like everything will go Moroccan and frilly, rather like the last time Uranus was in Pisces in the 20s, so look out for the fringes! Technology will allow us to put surface details on our rather minimalistic furniture and everything will look rather theatrical.

At the end of Bernard's lecture we attempted another group Visualisation of Lottery Numbers as part of Mick O'Neil's ongoing research. So let's hope we will all be lucky this time.

Finally it was time to eat drink and be merry. It was by far the best Xmas party ever at the Lodge with loads of good food and the added bonus of some live jazz. Thanks to everyone on the committee for their hard work and to those members who also contributed to the food.
